Hector cepeda also skipped out on doing my repairs. I paid him $2000.00 to do repairs on my roof and after payment he was never to be found. I called again and again and he said he would be there, but after a month I just gave up. This guy is a thief and will take your money. Do not use Hector Cepeda.

Please do not use Hector Cepeda as your contractor. He will never finish the job and will just steal your money. He comes across as a nice guy and that he knows what he is doing, but he is neither. He started on my project and the City of Houston would not even give him the permits and then he got caught. This guy is nothing more than the biggest con artist you have ever seen. He can do the demolition, but that is it. Please Please do not use Hector Cepeda he will only steal your money as he has done to countless other victims.

I met Mr. Cepeda through church. He targeted people in the church, earning their trust, getting jobs through informal agreements (so he can never be charged with theft since there weren't real contracts to begin with) and then he takes the money and runs. He did this to me and countless other people in the church. He is very very good at giving people the run around so that you don't realize what he's up to, but he *will* take your money and not do any work. Do NOT hire him.

I to was a victim of Hector M. Cepeda of TPL Construction. I paid him over $3,000 to start to do a remodel my floors in my home. He ripped out the old flooring and then he started to disappear. After numerous calls he never showed up. I too had to get another contractor in to finish the job. This guy does nothing but steal peoples money. Again be very leery of hiring this guy.

I did Mr. Dean's assessment of Hector Cepeda's work and of the $48,000 Mr. Dean paid him he did only about $12,000 worth of work. He has now been banned ever doing business in this condo. I think it would be wise to use another remodeler.

I agree with this review. I own a unit in the same building and Hector Cepeda did the same thing to me. I paid him $800.00 down to get rid of a bathtub and build a new shower. He did get rid of the bathtub and then the problems started. Just like the last review he never showed up. After three weeks I confronted him and told him a wanted my money back because he never finished the job. He refused. I hear now that building management has banned him from ever doing any work in this building ever again. I agree with the last review. Hector Cepeda is nothing more than a crook and a thief. Do not do business with this guy.!

This business is owned by his father. Hector M. Cepeda(TPL Construction) is owned by his son Hector M. Cepeda. DO NOT do business with his son. This guy has a criminal history of stealing peoples property and money. If you look under the Harris County District Attorney's website you will find a whole host of criminal charges relating to various crimes he's committed involving his remodeling scams. He takes peoples money and thens walks away from the job. He took over $48,000 from me to do a complete remodeling of my condo unit. He had four months to do it and in that time he might have been there 20 times. Nobody knows to this day where that money went to. He did the demolition, which he could not get the permits for, did some texturising of the walls and have the tile on the balcony and that was it. He kept saying he bought all the supply for the condo, but when I asked to see receipts he would not show them to me. He will not show them to my lawyer. To this day nobody knows where that money went to. He owes the plumber he contracted out to 0ver $2000.00 and the electrician another $1500.00 and they cannot get paid either. His ex girlfreind who I have talked to said it probably went to drugs because he has had a drug problem in the past. The DA office will be handing down warrants for his arrest soon on theft and fraud charges because now other victims are coming foward that live in the same condo unit where I live and he stole money from them and never completed the job to the point where just like myself they had to hire another contractor to finish the job. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT HIRE Hector M Cepeda(TPL CONSTRUCTION ) for your remodeling needs. DO NOT be a victim like so many others. He has done this so many times in my condos where I live that the condominium association has barred him from ever working in that building ever again or even stepping foot inside the building. I BEG YOU think twice before hiring Hector M Cepeda(TPL CONSTRUCTION) because he will steal your money and walk away from the job just like he has done so many times in the past!!!!!!
